Our Vision: Ready-Set-go! Inspires people to come
together in neighbourhoods to share the responsibility for raising children,
strengthening families
and celebrating communities. Our Mission: Ready-Set-go! Joins with neighbours
and community partners in downtown Windsor to strengthen and celebrate
children birth to six. Ready, Set, Go!! is an organization that is
community owne and driven. We are founded on a philosophy of mutual respect
and trust. We respect and value all residents and their cultures equally.
We act as a resource too and we are based on informational, referent,
and reciprocal power. Our goals are:
(a) to empower residents
(b) improve their self-esteem
(c) encourage residents
to participate in commuity
events
(d) build strengths and leadership skills of our
community residents
(e) encourage social networking among families
(f) support healthy development of the community
children focusing on birth to 6 years of age. We celebrate
families and take our direction from the actual community itself. We also
support existing programs, activities and resourses that are already established
in our community.
